The Airtug in GTA V is a compact and open-cab tug vehicle with low power. Its design is reminiscent of the Clark CT30, showcasing a small and functional appearance. Serving as a replacement for previous baggage handling vehicles in the series, such as the Baggage Handler and the Tug from GTA: San Andreas, the Airtug is primarily associated with the FlyUS airline, featuring their livery.
Notably, players have the ability to activate the emergency lights located behind the seats of the Airtug.
The Airtug in GTA V has undergone significant changes to its performance. Its top speed has been drastically reduced to a level comparable to a lawn mower, and it now operates as a front-wheel drive with only a single gear. Similar to the Lawn Mower, the Airtug is slow, vulnerable to gunfire, and exhibits poor crash deformation, even to the point of exploding when crushed by larger vehicles.
With its sluggish speed, open cab, and weak armor, it is not a recommended choice for getaway situations. Interestingly, the Airtug is equipped with a V8 engine, but its sound is remarkably quiet. It is revealed to be an electric vehicle, as indicated by the fuel tank volume in the handling files being set to 0, aligning it with other electric cars like the Voltic and the Surge.
This vehicle cannot be modified.
This vehicle does not appear in any storyline missions of GTA V
The Airtug can be found parked or driven around at the Los Santos International Airport.
Upon dismounting the Airtug, the player will do a door-closing animation.
Likely due to the small dashboard configuration, the vehicle lacks any functional dials in the enhanced version of the game.
Although bearing no manufacturer names, police radio chatter indicates that the Airtug is manufactured by HVY.
