The design of the Cuban 800 in GTA V is heavily inspired by the Cessna 310, featuring a nearly identical fuselage, landing gear system, engine nacelles, and wing tanks. However, the tail and wings deviate slightly from the original design, resembling those of the Piper PA-30 Twin Comanche.
The plane is available in various color schemes, including white with shades of silver or blue, blue with white, and red with white. It includes a small storage bay that can only be accessed during Arms Trafficking side missions. The plane's name is displayed on the rudder.
The performance of the Cuban 800 in GTA V is characterized by its dual piston engines, which are arranged in a flat configuration. In the event of one engine failure, the plane can still take off and fly using the remaining engine, although at a reduced airspeed and maneuverability. The failed engine causes a constant roll to the side, requiring continuous correction to prevent the aircraft from rolling over.
However, flying on a single engine is only sustainable for a short time before the other engine starts to smoke and fails. The plane's weight has a significant impact on its performance.
The nose-heavy design causes the plane to pitch downwards during flight, and when inverted, the aircraft rapidly loses altitude, similar to larger planes like the Jet. Despite these limitations, the Cuban 800 is known for its reliability and durability, withstanding significant damage.
This vehicle cannot be modified.
Nervous Ron - Both Trevor and Ron steal Cuban 800’s from the Sandy Shores Airfield and use them to deliver the guns to Oscar Guzman after which they race back to the airfield in the Cuban 800s.
Bury The Hatchet - Trevor flies a Cuban 800 to North Yankton and returns back to San Andreas in the same plane.
Can be found flying in Blaine County over the Alamo Sea, near Fort Zancudo and near Sandy Shores Airfield.
Can be purchased from the Elitas Travel site for $240,000.
Can be found parked next to Michael's hangar at the Los Santos International Airport.
The propellers on the plane are counter-rotating, in that they turn in opposite directions. This is quite unusual for General Aviation twin engine aircraft, since both propellers usually turn right.
Prior to the San Andreas Flight School Update, the Cuban 800 will be all black when purchased from Elitas Travel.
The Elitás Travel description of the plane states that the plane is worth $32,000. This contradicts with the actual price of the plane, which is $240,000. The most likely cause for this is that Rockstar Games believed the price was too low and forgot to change the description. This has been fixed in GTA Online.
