The Dominator in GTA V is designed based on the fifth generation Ford Mustang, with elements from the first generation as well. The car has a bulky bumper with two circular fog lamps and two vertical intake ducts on the outer edges. The hood features dual intakes, while the sides have a slightly extended profile on the wheel arches and skirting area. The rear has a ducktail spoiler, three red vertical tail lights, and a black lower area with chrome exhaust tips. The car has a dedicated black interior with carbon-fiber backing, analog dials, and a radio set. The primary color is applied on the bodywork and interior stitching, while the secondary color is on the lower sides and a wide stripe running towards the rear end. The car also features twelve-spoke alloy wheels with a concave profile.
The Dominator has a high-torque engine that provides good acceleration and above average top speed, making it one of the fastest Muscle cars in a straight line. However, its major flaw is its difficult handling, which can result in bouts of immense oversteer and fishtailing on corners, making it a challenging car to control. The car's crash deformation is average, and it can take a decent amount of head-on hits at speed before smoking or being disabled. Despite its handling issues, experienced drivers who learn its driving style may find the Dominator to be a very good car for racing, with few other Muscle cars able to keep up. It features a modeled 7.4L V8 engine with a 5-speed gearbox and RWD layout.
