The design of the Fieldmaster in GTA V draws inspiration mainly from the John Deere 7810 tractor, while incorporating elements reminiscent of older tractor models. Its modern interpretation features a larger enclosed profile compared to the open design of its predecessor, the Tractor. The front showcases a narrow nose with a silver/chrome grille, square headlights, and open sections on the sides.
The rear section includes access steps, a cabin with black frames and tall doors, and red square tail lights. The vehicle's interior is designed for a single driver, with a corresponding dashboard and additional electronics. It is typically painted in a primary color, with alternating green and red accents on the front fenders and roof. Large yellow industrial wheels with high-profile tires complete the rugged look.
The Fieldmaster offers moderate performance despite its heavy weight, but it lacks speed and is not an ideal choice for road driving. It performs reasonably well in rough terrain, although it falls short compared to dedicated off-road vehicles. It is not recommended for evading the police, and its exposed tires make it susceptible to gunfire.
However, it surprisingly handles deep water exceptionally well, only ceasing to function when submerged beyond the driver's head. The Fieldmaster is equipped with a V8 engine cover but lacks manifolds due to space constraints, and it emits a low-revving, diesel-like sound.
This vehicle cannot be modified.
Prologue - Appears driving by while the crew escapes in their Rancher XL.
Can be found on fields in Grapeseed, Paleto Bay, and Tongva Valley.
Can be spotted driving around the Vinewood Racetrack with a rake trailer attached to it.
Can be seen around Vespucci Beach sometimes with a rake trailer attached to it.
In the enhanced version, the Fieldmaster shares its horn with the Marquis.
In the beta, the Fieldmaster had extra lights above its windshield that made it look more like its real life counterpart, as well as some sort of beacon light and a unique tread pattern on the tires. It also had the exhaust stack on the front right quarter cabin instead of on the rear right quarter.
If the player follows a Fieldmaster with a rake trailer and creates tire tracks in the sand, the driver will exit and become hostile.
