The Rebel in GTA V is a compact 2-door pickup truck with a linear design similar to that of the fourth generation Toyota Hilux and the rear quarter of the vehicle resembling that of the second generation Mitsubishi Triton. On the front end, the truck features a flat chrome bumper, a black rectangular grille with four horizontal elements and circular headlamps, and vertical amber signals on the outermost borders.
The sides feature plain fender paneling with slightly flared front arches and black square mirrors near the front end, while large silver/chrome steps can be seen spanning the wheelbase of the truck. The rear is predominated by a medium-sized load bed area with "REBEL 4x4" markings seen on the rear quarters and rectangular rear lamp units.
The Rebel may spawn with certain accessories, such as a bull bar option on the front end and a six-point roll bar on the truck bed. The general bodywork is painted with the primary color, while the "REBEL 4x4" markings are painted with the secondary one. The truck appears with eight spoke wheels wrapped in high-profile off-road tires.
The interior shares a similar interior to that of the Bobcat XL, sharing the same dial set in the enhanced version and fitted with a CB radio.
The Rebel has good on-road performance, with ample acceleration and a reasonable top speed for a truck of its size. It handles well in corners and is considered somewhat sporty, but its ride is stiff and punishing. Off-road, the Rebel is one of the best vehicles in the game, with high ground clearance, four-wheel drive, and large off-road tires that allow it to negotiate hills and rocks with ease.
Its engine provides ample power, and the truck can climb hills easily as long as the driver feathers the throttle to make use of all its grip. The Rebel can reach high speeds on off-road environments, and it has a short wheelbase, although beaching is still a danger the driver must watch out for, especially when rock climbing. The truck is powered by a V8 engine and uses a high-revving diesel sound.
