The Suntrap in GTA V is based on the Bryant series of bow riders, particularly the Bryant 219, with some influences from the Glastron MX 185. It has a distinctive design characterized by a long and robust hull. The front of the boat features small circular headlights and a compact seating area, while the cab has a split silver/chrome windscreen, traditional seats for the front occupants, and bench seats for the rear passengers.
At the rear, there is a wide swim step and the propulsion system. In the enhanced version, the boat features analogue "Truck" dials. Additional accessories like front chrome pulpit bars and wakeboard booms are available. The boat has an aged/faded appearance with a primary color for the body and secondary colors in the form of side stripes and the folded top on the metal frame extra.
The Suntrap offers a good all-round top speed and handles well. While it may not match the speed of boats like the Tropic or the Dinghy, its stability and ease of handling make it a recommended choice for leisurely cruising. However, its larger size makes it more susceptible to getting stuck in narrow passages.
The boat is equipped with an in-board engine and a small Z-drive propeller, which is positioned in a way that minimizes the risk of hitting objects when beaching. The engine produces a somewhat irregular idle sound, with variations in revs rather than a steady tick-over sound.
This vehicle cannot be modified.
This vehicle does not appear in any missions of GTA V.
Can be purchased from the DockTease site for $25,160.
Can be found docked in the Alamo Sea.
Found during the night at the Land Act Reservoir.
Despite being called a "two-seater speedboat", the Suntrap actually carries four occupants, even despite having, visually, enough room for at least five/six people.
The name Suntrap is most likely a play on the word "sun deck", an open deck in the bow of the boat positioned to catch the sunlight.
Despite having a single propeller, the dashboard features two tachometers, as if the boat carries two independent engines powering the single propeller. This is due to reused assets with other twin-engine boats.
