The Trashmaster in GTA V maintains its overall design from the previous version, resembling a combination of the Mack LE and Peterbilt 320 refuse trucks. However, there are some notable changes.
The front bumper has been replaced with a flat-fronted chrome bumper, the grille is narrower with vertical and horizontal elements, and additional handles have been added under the windshields. The cab sides remain mostly the same, but the doors lack the beveled border edge.
The interior is similar to the previous model but with updated textures and analog dials. The rear section and compactor have undergone several modifications, including the addition of fender flaps, advertisements, and marker lights.
The truck has a worn, rusty texture and various shades of gray, with the City of Los Santos seal on the doors. It retains the same industrial wheels and is manufactured by Jobuilt, as revealed in police radio chatter.
The Trashmaster has undergone improvements in its performance. Despite its increased weight, the truck is no longer heavily affected by it and has a more secure and stiffer suspension. Cornering has seen notable improvement, although some oversteer can still be experienced.
Acceleration is more responsive, as are the throttle and brakes, providing a better overall driving experience. The Trashmaster is equipped with a powerful diesel engine, rear-wheel drive, and a 5-speed gearbox, and its engine sound remains the same as in GTA IV.
This vehicle cannot be modified.

In GTA IV, it is not possible to carry four people using the Trashmaster, even though it can be seen with two LSD workers on the back.
The livery on both sides of the truck shows a cartoon, with the left livery saying "Little Pricks" and the right saying "Butt Lovers", further showing Rockstar's crude humor.
In the Japanese version of GTA III, the Trashmaster is known as the Dustcart.
