The Asterope is a four-seater sedan in GTA V, manufactured by Karin. It belongs to the Sedans vehicle class in the game and can be found driven around by NPCs and parked around the eastern and southern areas of Los Santos.
The design of the Asterope in GTA V draws inspiration from the XV40 Toyota Camry/Aurion, particularly in terms of its side profile, roofline, greenhouse area, and certain character lines. The front of the car takes cues from the second generation Chevrolet Cobalt, while the rear bears a striking resemblance to the 1998-2000 Lexus IS/Toyota Altezza.
As a cousin of the Sultan, the Asterope shares a similar build and is manufactured by Karin. Its front end features distinctive Japanese geometric formations, with a dominant sharp curve separating the bumper area from the upper section.
The sides of the car are relatively simple, featuring flared wheel arches, chrome horizontal trim strips, and chrome-trimmed door handles. The interior of the car resembles that of the Schafter and Tailgater, with a shared dial set, dashboard details, and interior extras.
The Asterope is available in various single colors for the body and interior stitches, and it sports seven-spoke wheels wrapped in medium-profile tires, also found on the Stratum.
The Asterope demonstrates impressive performance compared to other vehicles in its class. It boasts a surprisingly high top speed, rivaling more expensive and luxurious cars like the Zion and Jackal.
Acceleration and braking are on par with other sedans, offering a balanced driving experience. Despite its soft suspension, the Asterope handles well for its size, although excessive body roll may lead to instability at high speeds and potential oversteer.
The car exhibits decent durability, withstanding several strong head-on collisions before engine failure. In terms of its engine, although the badges claim a 3.5L V6, the in-game Asterope actually features a turbocharged, twin-cam 4-cylinder engine that powers the rear wheels through a 5-speed gearbox. Its engine sound is characterized by mid to high revs, similar to other vehicles like the Premier and Romero Hearse.

The name "Asterope" is also the name given to one of the stars of the Pleiades. The stars of the Pleiades are represented in the logo for Subaru, which is partly owned by Toyota.
