Blaine County in GTA 5

Blaine County is based on several different counties in California close to Los Angeles. The northernmost area of Paleto forest and the southernmost area near Bolingbroke penitentiary are influenced by San Bernardino County. The Imperial and Riverside counties are inspirations for the areas around the Alamo sea and the eastern desert region. Areas like Chumash and Paleto Bay closely resemble Ventura County.

Blaine County is a peaceful rural area featuring mountains, forests and a desert. Blaine County is separated from Los Santos County by Route 68. The highways are patrolled by Los Santos County sheriffs as it remains under the jurisdiction of Los Santos County. Blaine County. The tallest mountain in San Andreas, Mount Chiliad, is located in Blaine County. There is a ropeway that can take passengers to the peak which has an observation deck.

There are only two small airfields in Blaine County with no major airport. Sandy Shores airfield and McKenzie Airfield are both located in Blaine County near the Sandy Shores area. They have dirt runways and a small hangar. Trevor Philips takes over the Sandy Shores airfield during the events of GTA V.

The Lost MC, The O’Neil brothers and the Varrios Los Aztecas have their presence in Blaine County and are the leading competition for Trevor Philips and his business. There are often disputes going down between these groups.

Unlike Los Santos, Blaine County is more of a countryside with small towns and villages located in between mountain ranges and a network of highways surrounding them all. Blaine County has many small towns where people live in compact settlements like trailers and small houses. There are also a few unincorporated communities scattered around Blaine County, some close to the sea and the others close to the forest area and mountainous regions.
