Derrick in GTA 5

Derrick is a robber by profession and says he has come back to the “game” after six years as he feels his family doesn't care about him anymore and believes he has an unhappy life.

Derrick will be waiting for Franklin to pick him up in front of Los Santos International Airport. He asks Franklin to take him to the Little Gems Jewelry Store on Atlee Street. On the way to the store he reveals to Franklin that he is a robber and needs Franklin to be his getaway driver. At first Franklin seems a little unsure but agrees to help him.

After they park the car in an alleyway near the store, Derrick robs the store and gets back to the car. The alarm goes off and a two-star wanted level is received. After losing the cops Derrick has to be dropped back to the airport. When leaving he gives Franklin part of his score and says he has potential to be a good getaway driver.

Derrick appears to be a well-built man in his 30s. He has fine brown hair and is seen wearing a black suit with a white shirt under his blazer.

• If Franklin attains a wanted level while still near Derrick after dropping him off at the airport, Derrick will cry out in despair "No! I was so close!" before attempting to flee.

• Derrick is very similar to Michael, both men are rich, both have a family that hates them and both decided to go back to their prior life as a robber after retiring to escape their unhappy life. Even Franklin notices the similarities.

• After dropping him off, Franklin might sometimes say “Stay out of trouble, alright, Derrick?” even if he didn’t tell him his name beforehand.
