Friend Request in GTA 5

Friend Request is a storyline mission in GTA 5 involving Michael De Santa and Lester Crest.

In this mission, Michael visits Lester Crest at his house in El Burro Heights. Lester is not surprised to see Michael at all and already seems to know a lot about his life in Los Santos. Having to pay Martin Madrazo $250,000 for the damages he did, Michael tells Lester that what he needs is money. Lester tells Michael that he’ll find him a job for the money but first, he needs his help with a mission that involves the CEO and founder of Lifeinvader, Jay Norris.

Lester hands over a bag to Michael telling him to change into something that makes him look like a “billionaire math genius”. Michael leaves for Suburban Clothes Shop. He has to change into a vest and some cargo shorts and then go to the Lifeinvader building.

Outside the Lifeinvader building, he meets a programmer who lets him in, mistaking him for a tech support agent. He asks Michael to close some pop-ups and install an antivirus software for him and also shows him where the prototype is kept. Michael then rigs the phone with an explosive and leaves the office. He calls Lester and informs him that he is on his way home to watch the keynote on TV.

Michael then returns home where he sees Tracey watching Fame or Shame on TV. He tells her to leave and snatches the remote from her. When Jay Norris is speaking, Michael has to call him and the phone explodes next to Norris’ face, killing him.

Michael calls Lester, who says the incident has generated a huge profit for him on the stock market and agrees to help Michael. He also sends a text with a link to the in-game stock market for Michael to check out at any time. After this, Lester and Michael prepare for the jewelry store heist.

The scene where Michael shows the middle finger to Lester's security camera can be seen on Lester's artwork from Grand Theft Auto Online.
If Michael fails to call Jay Norris, he will comment that somebody was supposed to call him and storms off, breaking the prototype by throwing it at the stage. This will still fail the mission.
The scene of Michael taking the TV remote from Tracey was used in Michael's Character Trailer. In the trailer Tracey wore silver pants; in the game she wears purple pants.
