Hatchet in GTA 5

The Hatchet is a melee weapon in the enhanced version of GTA V.

It is an axe-like weapon with a wooden handle and metal head and looks similar to the Fire-axe. The hatchet can kill NPCs in just one strike.

Design and Performance

The Hatchet has a wooden handle with a metal head. There is a red, black and white stripe on the handle.

The Hatchet can kill anyone with just two strikes. It is a small and sharp melee weapon that deals high damage. After striking somebody with the Hatchet, blood appears on the handle and blade. It can also be used on a motorcycle.

There are no customizations for this weapon.

Can be bought from Ammu-Nation for $750, after completing the mission Trevor Philips Industries.

Trivia

The Hatchet was originally exclusive to players returning to GTA V, however as of Summer 2017 it is available to all players.
The animations for the Hatchet will differ between third and first person modes.
