The heavy shotgun is based on the Saiga 12K, a semi-automatic shotgun. It can be used with a flashlight, extended mag, grip and also a suppressor. In the game, this weapon uses the same receiver as the Assault Rifle.

The Heavy Shotgun is semi-automatic that fires at 200 shots per minute, which is slightly lower than the fully-automatic Assault Shotgun's 240 RPM. It shoots slugs instead of pellets. It has a very high damage rate and takes out armored enemies in a single shot when close enough. It is a very effective weapon for close encounters as well as medium range gun fights, as it uses slugs. With an extended mag the heavy shotgun can be used with less frequent reloads. It increases the mag capacity to 12 rounds. The heavy shotgun can set an unarmored car’s engine on fire in 6 shots and cause it to explode in around 10 shots making it highly effective against vehicles.
