Jerry Can in GTA 5

The Jerry Can is a red gallon of fuel which is probably based on the German fuel canister. It has a marking on it that reads Kraftstoff 20L - Feuergefährlich which means 20 liters of flammable fuel. It has a few warning stickers on it also with the year mentioned 1939, which is most likely the year of manufacture which is not visible in the enhanced version of the game. The enhanced version featured a small visual upgrade to the Jerry Can.

The Jerry Can can be used to create trails or pools of fuel that can be set on fire. It can be used to burn up vehicles by surrounding them with a trail of fuel and then lighting it. The trail or pool of fuel can be lit by shooting it. When pouring fuel in a single spot for more than two seconds, it appears as a larger pool and is more flammable. Shooting a Jerry Can directly causes it to explode, dealing some damage to the player or people around it.
