Method Actor is an achievement/trophy in GTA 5 obtained by the player for entering Director Mode as their own GTA Online character. This achievement was added to the game in the Freemode Events update.

To unlock this trophy/achievement, the player has to simply enter Director Mode by choosing their GTA Online protagonist as an actor. The GTA Online character will have to be created and transferred over prior to attempting this.
The player can access director mode by using the Acting Up contact on the player’s mobile phone in the game. Director Mode can also be accessed from the main menu. As the player progresses through story mode, new characters are unlocked for director mode.
First-Person View is only available when the actor selected is a GTA Online character or a single-player protagonist.
There's a glitch where attempting to enter Director Mode which will cause the game to restart to the Prologue. Simply reload the game after the loading screen.
There is a minor glitch where if the active actor is any of the three story protagonists and is in first-person mode, pulling up the phone will bring up the physical version of the phone and the virtual version on the phone at the same time.
