Murrieta Oil Field is an industrial area in GTA V. It is located in the eastern region of Los Santos. It is surrounded by East Los Santos to the west, El Burro Heights to the north and the Palomino Highlands to the east.
Murrieta Oil Field
The Murrieta Oil Field is based on the Inglewood Oil Field in Los Angeles County, California. This Oil Field is a location that is rich in petroleum deposits. It is characterized by the presence of Brute pump jacks, which pump crude oil from the ground.
The area also includes a car scrapyard that can be bought by the player for $275,000. After purchasing the property, the player can earn money by destroying cars, with each destroyed car yielding $150. However, the scrapyard is also susceptible to attacks from the biker gang known as The Lost MC.
Something Sensible - This is a non-canon ending to the game and Option A of the final mission. Franklin Clinton kills Trevor Philips at the Murrieta Oil Field after a chase through Los Santos. Trevor crashes into a gasoline tank which causes a pool of gasoline to form around him, which Franklin shoots a bullet at ,thus killing Trevor.
Spaceship Part - In the northern area of the Murrieta Oil Fields.
Stunt Jump - Near one of the factory buildings.
The name "Murrieta" could be a reference to the city of Murrieta, California, named after Juan Murrieta, a Spanish land owner in California in the late 19th century.
