Nigel is from England and is visiting Los Santos on vacation. He is obsessed with Vinewood celebrities and aims to possess various celebrity souvenirs to add to Mrs. Thornhill's collection.
Nigel is a character who is part of the Strangers and Freaks side missions done by Trevor Philips. He asks Trevor to collect a few Souvenirs from famous Vinewood celebrities and bring them to add to Mrs.Thornhill’s collection. Trevor has to retrieve the collar from Kerry McIntosh's dog, a golden tooth from Love Fist's Willie, Mark Fostenburg's golf club and Tyler Dixon's swimming trunks. When Trevor meets with Nigel and Mrs.Thornhill to deliver the souvenirs, they come across Al Di Napoli with whom Nigel and Mrs.Thornhill want a private interview. A high speed chase takes place and it ends with Al getting kidnapped by the duo. In the end, they land up handing him over to Trevor and getting away. Trevor can either kill Al or let him go. Nigel and Mrs.Thornhill are not seen again in the game but Trevor has an option to kill them as well just before driving away with the car.
Nigel is a senior citizen, looking something above 60 years old. He has hair only towards the sides and the back of his head with a receded hairline all the way to the top of his head. Nigel wears a brown printed suit and pants with a yellow printed shirt inside. He wears an olive green tie and brown shoes.

Nigel's name could be a reference to Nigel Thornberry from The Wild Thornberrys animated series. The name "Mrs Thornhill" supports this argument.
During Vinewood Souvenirs - Al Di Napoli, if the player drives on the left-hand side of the motorway, Nigel will comment on Trevor "driving on the proper side of the road", a reference to the fact that vehicles drive on the left-hand side of the road in the United Kingdom.
