The Oriental Theater is an accessible cinema featured in GTA V. It is located on Vinewood Boulevard, Downtown Vinewood in Los Santos. It is situated to the left of Blazing Tattoo Studio and east of the Pacific Standard Public Deposit Bank.

Background

The Oriental Theater is a Chinese-themed theater based on the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood, California. In the Vinewood Star Tours, it is revealed that the theater was built in 1928. The stars of the Vinewood Walk of Fame are situated right outside the Oriental Theater. This theater is used for movie premieres, as in the storyline it is seen being used for the Meltdown premiere.

Events of GTA 5

In the mission Meltdown, Micahel arrives with Jimmy at the Oriental Theater for the premiere of the movie Meltdown. He then rushes back home when he learns that Devin Weston sent the Merryweather men to his house to kill his family. He successfully protects his family from the Merryweather mercenaries.
A player can watch a movie at the Oriental Theater, which is one of the three theaters where the player can do this. The player can watch the following movies:
