The Pacific Ocean in the large water body surrounding the southern part of San Andreas in GTA 5.
The entire map in GTA 5 is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean. It is home to sharks and underwater vegetation. Flying to the end in a plane will cause its engine to shut down and crash, thus killing the player. If you escape the plane and swim to the end, a shark spawns and kills you. However if that is also avoided, the player dies to a death barrier. NPC controlled boats can also be encountered in the Pacific Ocean.

There are boat racing side missions in the Pacific Ocean. Scuba diving can also be done to explore the deep sea. In the mission Daddy’s Little Girl, Michael swims up to a Yacht in the Pacific Ocean to bring back Tracey who is with some people filming adult films.
