Palmer Taylor Power Station is a power plant for generation and transmission of power in GTA V. It is located in the San Chianski Mountain Range in Los Santos County. The RON Alternates Wind Farm is located to the west of this power station with the Pacific Ocean to the east.
Name | Palmer Taylor Power Station |
Location | San Chianski Mountain Range, Los Santos County, San Andreas |
Appearance(s) | GTA V GTA Online |
The power station is depicted as a large power plant which includes flue-gas stacks, cooling towers, smaller buildings, storage tanks, pipelines, and a parking lot within the power plant. The complex offers player exploration opportunities through its extensive stairs, ladders, and catwalks, but the buildings themselves are not accessible.
It gets its name from the members of the real-life British-American rock and pop band “The Power Station”.
The Time’s Come - If the player chooses to kill Michael in the final mission, which is a non-canon ending, Michael is seen being chased by Franklin. Franklin follows him up to one of the flue-gas stacks. Franklin pushes him over the edge after which the player can choose whether to let him go or pull him back up, although both options lead to Michael falling to his death.
Armor - inside the train terminal to the north of the entrance
Sniper Rifle - at the top of the northernmost smoke stack.
The name of the plant is a reference to the band The Power Station, and to the members of the band, Robert Palmer, John, and Andy Taylor.
It is not specified which type of fuel the power station uses, though the flue-gas stacks and the station's ownership by the Los Santos Department of Green Power strongly suggest it is a natural gas plant.
There are transformers located around the plant, which will give the GTA Online Protagonist an electric shock if they come into contact with them.
