Peter Dreyfuss is a character in GTA V who appears as a stranger/freak. Before the events of GTA V, he was a film director who retired after one of his films did very badly. He went on to murder Leonora Johnson for “artistic purposes” and wrote a letter to David Richards about the murder. His fate has to be decided by Franklin in the mission “A Starlet In Vinewood” which can be triggered after collecting all 50 letter scraps.

Peter Dreyfuss retired from being a director after his movie ”Last Will and Testament" failed at the box office. He received a lot of criticism which demotivated him and he promised to never make movies again. Over the years his movies began to receive some appreciation with people calling him one of the last masterminds of American cinema, but he also had a bad image due to the number of women whom he worked with who raised their voices against him for sexual harassment.
In 1975 he murdered Leonora Johnson and tortured her family by sending them her body parts one by one. He confessed all of this in a letter addressed to David Richards. David tore up the letter and scattered the scraps all over Los Santos and Blaine County.
After all 50 letter scraps have been collected, Franklin visits Peter Dreyfuss’ house. Franklin confronts him about the murder while he is meditating. At first Peter asks Franklin to “suck him off” and thinks he is there for something sexual, but soon Franklin takes out a photo of Leonora Johnson on his mobile phone.
Peter then starts to deny anything Franklin is saying and even tries to bribe him but to no avail. He runs away and tries to escape in his car. At this point the player has an option of either killing him or letting him go.

Peter Dreyfuss’ appearance as well as his personality might make him a reference to controversial director Roman Polański.
It is implied that Dreyfuss is bisexual, as he asks Franklin if he is "here to copulate" when Franklin confronts him at his home, and offers to let Franklin "suck him off".
Dreyfuss is implied to be a communist or communism supporter, as he referred to Franklin Clinton's street justice as "the blind moralizing of the proletariat".
Since the only gold medal objective requires the player to kill Peter Dreyfuss, it is more likely that killing him is the canon choice.
