The Remote Sniper is a special sniper rifle featured in GTA V. This weapon appears in the mission Caida Libre. It is a remote-controlled sniper rifle which is basically a Heavy Sniper mounted on a piece of machinery that helps use the rifle remotely.

The Remote Sniper is a Heavy Sniper that has been mounted onto an automated system. At the bottom is a stand on which there are a few hydraulics to help move the gun to aim. There are sensors fitted at the front just below the gun that probably help in calculating the parameters for an accurate shot. This Remote Sniper is placed in the back of a Declasse Burrito near the Galileo Observatory.
It is mounted onto a system that helps it shoot accurately by calculating the perfect shot after measuring wind direction and distance to target. A red box appears when taking a shot at a moving target to accurately hit the target considering the delay caused by the bullet travel time. In the mission a red box appears a little ahead of the airplane so as to hit the engine.
The player has to shoot at the red box to successfully hit the engine. The interface while using the remote sniper has a blue tint with a scope that has an advanced crosshair. On the right it shows wind direction.
This weapon is not obtainable outside of the mission and hence cannot be customized.
This weapon is not obtainable outside of the mission. It can be found in the back of the van during the mission Caida Libre. Before the mission ends, the van has to be destroyed.
Files list the weapon as being a Handgun in the Weapon Wheel, despite being a remote Sniper Rifle.
Despite being a modified Heavy Sniper, it is coded to hold 10 rounds instead of 6, although it is actually true for a real Barrett M82.
The Remote Sniper is quite similar to the weapon that Bruce Willis uses in the movie The Jackal.
