Submarine Pieces in GTA 5

To start collecting the pieces Michael must first purchase the Sonar Collections Dock at Paleto Cove for $250,000 and then speak to Abigail. These submarine pieces are located all over the deep and shallow waters and all around the coast. Most are found near airplane and ship wreckages. They look like large broken metal pieces of some machine or vehicle.

The pieces of the submarine are found in the following locations:

1. Found on the sea floor off the coast of Paleto Bay. It is sitting between the two pieces of broken plane fuselage.
2. Off the coast of Paleto Bay, not far from piece 1. It is inside the lower section of one of the fuselage pieces.
3. Again off the Paleto Bay area, just a short swim from piece 2. This time it is sitting on a ledge with one of the planes' engines that is broken off.
4. Off the coast of Fort Zancudo, sitting on the seafloor by a detached tail motor from an airliner.
5. Inside the hull of a cargo plane on the ocean floor, off the coast of Fort Zancudo.
6. Just past piece 5 is a ravine on the ocean floor. Head down there and you will find piece 6.
7. Further off the coast of Fort Zancudo, this piece is sitting near the front portion of the downed airliner.
8. Right near piece 7, this one can be found inside the front section of the fuselage off the coast of Fort Zancudo.
9. A bit to the south of pieces 4-8, piece 9 can be found behind the wheelhouse of a sunken vessel.
10. At the other end of the boat where piece 9 is found, you will find piece 10.
11. Under a bridge that runs north to south into Port Los Santos.
12. Found by a crane arm sitting on the ocean floor, in the north waters of Port Los Santos.
13. In the same canal as 12, swim further north to find this one sitting in a rusted metal frame.
14. At the north side of the Terminal in Port Los Santos, there is a piece found on the bow of the Ocean Motion shop.
15. In the waters just off the north side of the Ocean Motion shop found in Port Los Santos.
16. Off the stern, or the eastern end of the Ocean Motion shop. The piece sits among some old wooden pillars.
17. In the water off the east side of the Daisy-Lee, a shop found at the Terminal in Port Los Santos. The piece is sitting on the seafloor, among some wood from a ruined pier.
18. Further to the east of piece 17, 18 can be found among the wreck of the tail of a downed airplane.
19. 19 is found along the same plane as piece 18.
20. Piece 20 can be found inside a piece of hull from the same plane where you found pieces 18 and 19.
21. Off in the waters south of the Terminal in Port of South Los Santos. This piece can be found inside a small pipe.
22. A couple dozen feet west of piece 21, piece 22 can be found under a rock archway.
23. To the north-west of piece 22, in the canal, you will find this piece. It is sitting on an old, ruined wooden pier.
24. Found in the waters along the left of the South Port of Los Santos. It is among some old, rusted framework.
25. Off the east coast of the National Office of Security Enforcement. There is a large sunken boat in the water, and the piece is sitting near the bow of the ship.
26. In the cargo hold of the ship you will find piece 26, on the upper levels.
27. Piece 27 is a little north of 26, among some more debris.
28. In the same basic area as 27, piece 28 lays inside the ship's cargo compartment, in the upper half of it and obscured behind three-some containers, making it extremely hard to locate, mainly during night.
29. Found off the coast of Mount Gordo, this piece is simply sitting on the seafloor. However, sharks are common in the area, making it tough to reach.
30. A bit north of piece 29, 30 is in the same shark infested waters.

1. An internet article from Public Liberty Online published after the mission Blitz Play mentions the Submarine Pieces; the article reports on the death of Frank Mathers while he was testing a submarine, and mentions that the submarine broke apart spreading its pieces across the ocean.

A. After finding all 30 submarine pieces, as part of the final mission “ What Lies Beneath” with Abigail Mathers, she calls you to meet her at Paleto Cove. She hands you $10 and a signed photograph of her ex-lover.
