The Bus In GTA 5

The Bus in GTA V is based on a few real life buses. It has a combination of features of the NABI 40-LFW, NABI CompoBus, GMC RTS and the Orion VII NG. The buses are managed by the Los Santos transit and have decals of the same. The Bus has 6 windows on each side with two doors on the right of the body. There are circular headlights on the front and rectangular brake and reverse lights on the back. The bus has a destination board set above the windshield that reads “DOWNTOWN”.

The bus is powered by a twin-cam 4-cylinder engine and a 4-speed gearbox. The bus is quite a slow vehicle mainly due to its size and weight. It has a typical reverse tone for a bus which is also used by trucks. At high speeds, the bus struggles to turn, and it mostly goes wide and crashes into something. It is a very durable vehicle with average braking, but isn’t really ideal as a getaway vehicle. The Bus is an all-wheel drive which helps with climbing slopes but still struggles and moves with reduced speed.

This vehicle cannot be modified.

This vehicle has no appearances in any GTA V storyline missions.

2. Rarely seen on the Great Ocean Highway, and an even rarer sight in Sandy Shores.
3. Can be found parked at the Dashound Bus Center in Textile City.

1. Once a bus is hijacked, passengers will not attempt to exit the bus, preferring to cower in their seats. This does not apply to the drivers, who will usually try to retake the bus if the player doesn't drive away quickly enough.
2. Strangely, on Warstock Cache and Carry in GTA Online, the image of the Bus is mirrored, with the doors on the left side instead of the right side. This is fixed in the enhanced version.
3. In the enhanced version, although the dash warning lights still function, the dashboard texture is mapped incorrectly, resulting in the lights being cut off the top edge of the instrument panel.
