Washington in GTA 5

The design of the Washington is based on the 1998-2002 Lincoln Town Car with features of a Cadillac DeVille. It is a 4-door sedan with a long body. It has a long hood with a horizontal grille and rectangular headlights that stretch to the sides of the bumper. A small portion of the grille is located down near the license plate. The rear bumper has a similar design to the front one. The interiors are quite spacious. The car looks like an escort vehicle which would probably drive around Presidents and politicians. The Stretch (limo) is a variant of the Washington.

The Washington has a higher top speed than it had in the previous Grand Theft Auto games. It also has better handling. It has a V8 engine that comes with a 5-speed gearbox. The suspension is really good ensuring a peaceful drive. The Washington can get you to places quickly, but not necessarily safely. The car takes damage very easily and cannot take a lot of gunfire before exploding. The sound of the engine is very smooth which makes it a good ride for a sedan.

1. Seen driving around by NPCs in Los Santos.
2. Can be found in a random encounter in which the player has to untie a wedding groom from a telephone pole. After dropping the groom and his friend off, a unique colored Washington can be found near the player which is available to be taken.
3. In the Enhanced Version, a white Washington and Burrito can be found parked next to the satellites in the Grand Senora Desert with FIB agents and/or scientists between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm.

1. The Washington's name is likely a reference to America's capital city Washington, as the car is an executive vehicle, and to George Washington, the first President of the United States. The vehicle's similarities to the Lincoln Town Car is a reference to Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States.
2. The Washington is one of the four cars to be named after a US President, the other three being the Jefferson, the Monroe and the Roosevelt.
3. Applying a window tint will also affect the vehicle’s headlamps, following the chosen tint level. This is also seen on its hearse variant.
4. In GTA Vice City Stories, the Washington shares the same engine and horn with the Sentinel XS.
5. Strangely, even though the GTA V Stretch is based on the Washington, it is not made by the same manufacturer, as the Stretch is a Dundreary vehicle, whilst the Washington is an Albany vehicle.
