The Welcome To Los Santos achievement/trophy is automatically unlocked when the player completes the first mission, “Franklin and Lamar” at the beginning of GTA 5.
In this mission, Franklin and Lamar have to repossess two cars from a location given to them. They come across Michael during this mission, who directs them to the location they need to go to.
This achievement will unlock during the cutscene.
This achievement is not unlocked for many players when they just begin the game. However, it can be unlocked by just replaying the mission.
