The Zion is based on the BMW 6 Series E63. However, the front grille has a different design from that of the BMW models. The headlights are circular and are fitted inside the light cover which has a unique dynamic shape. The tail lights are rectangular and are very much like the tail lights on BMW cars. The license plate is located above the bumper on the boot door which also carries the Übermacht logo. This vehicle has a dual exhaust system.
The Zion is a good car for just cruising around on highways or the streets of Los Santos as this vehicle has really slow acceleration. It takes 7-9 seconds for this vehicle to reach 60 mph. The handling however is quite good and the car also steers well even at high speeds. This vehicle takes damage quite easily which affects the steering and handling and even slows the car down. It is powered by a twin-cam, four-cylinder engine fitted with a turbocharger and a 6-speed gearbox with rear wheel drive layout.

The default radio stations of the Zion are: FlyLo FM or Soulwax FM.
In Judaism, Zion is a place name often used as a synonym for Jerusalem.
The names of the three Übermacht vehicles are references to the movie The Matrix. The Oracle is a reference to the computer program that helps humans fight the machines, the Zion is a reference to the last human city, and the Sentinel is a reference to the machines the humans are at war with.
