Beds

A bed is a block that allows a player to sleep and to reset their spawn point to within a few blocks of the bed in the Overworld. If the bed is obstructed or removed, the player spawns at the default world spawning location.

A bed is one of the blocks in Minecraft that you should make early in the game, probably before night falls unless you’d like to hide away until the morning.

Beds are really important as they allow you to skip through the night once it starts to get dark, which prevents mobs from spawning at the surface.
