Bonus Chest

Bonus chests will only appear only if the “Bonus chest” option is turned on in either the “More World Options” (Java Edition) or the “Game Settings” (Bedrock Edition) section of the “Create New World” screen.

Bonus chests will generate as a normal chest with four torches around it. The torches may be overridden if the torch locations are obstructed by other blocks, or in some instances, they may float. The chest contains basic items to assist with early survival gameplay.
