There is no certain way to locate deep dark biomes in your world. The best way to find it is to dig and search through deep caves, searching for dim light sources like a soul torch or soul lantern.

Once you have located a deep dark biome, look around the immediate area for any generated structures, or sights of dim lights from soul torches. You can press F3 to check what biome you are in to be confident that you are searching in the right area.

There are many distinctly generated structures in the deep dark and they can be seen easily from a distance. The problem is getting into the position from where you can see them in the first place. Many of these locations and structures will be dimly lit, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled.

You can find blocks of sculk, sculk sensors, the warden, and enormous generated structures in the deep dark. No other mob spawns naturally in the deep dark, but trigger enough sculk shriekers and you may find yourself chased by a warden!

The deep dark is covered in luminescent blocks called sculk. Many of these blocks can trigger sound signals which can alert the warden or trigger redstone pulses. There are sculk shriekers, sensors, and sculk catalysts. All of them can be collected with any tool, but hoes are the fastest at breaking sculk blocks.

Any time you mine sculk blocks you will obtain experience. Sculk catalysts can even generate more sculk blocks for yourself to use for redstone contraptions or for simply farming experience.
