Dripstone Caves in Minecraft

Dripstone caves generate underground at any height and they favor areas that are far inland, which means they're essentially never found under ocean biomes or while bordering a coast. Dripstone blocks and pointed dripstone blocks can be found hanging from the ceiling and on the ground.

They mostly appear like regular caves except with patches of dripstone blocks and pointed dripstone. Large dripstone cluster structures generate occasionally inside ravines. This biome also generates larger copper ore blobs compared to other biomes.

Dripstone caves are filled with hostile mobs as the light level inside is very low. Players will encounter spiders, zombies, zombie villagers, skeletons, creepers, slimes, endermen, witches, bats, chicken and zombie jockeys.

Dripstone caves are a new cave biome added to Minecraft in v.1.17. They have pointed dripstone and dripstone blocks on the ground and hanging from the ceilings. Since the caves are deep and dark players will find hostile mobs quite commonly.
