Channeling is by far the most powerful enchantment in Minecraft as with a single click, you can summon a lightning bolt to smite your enemy. This has side effects against certain enemies, so make sure to watch out!
Channeling is one of the two enchantments that is Trident exclusive and no other weapons can summon lightning to the battlefield. Finding a Trident is also a bit more difficult than other weapons especially when you consider the fact that they cannot be crafted.

Find a Trident and obtain 30 levels of XP. Enchant a Trident using an Enchanting Table and select the Channeling enchantment.
These enemies are the only source of Tridents in Minecraft.

During a Thunderstorm, your Trident can now command the power of nature itself. Lightning will strike any enemy you manage to hit with a Trident toss. Be careful, as this weapon is as powerful as it is easy to lose! Keep in mind that this enchantment is basically useless unless there is currently a thunderstorm underway.

Q. Can you use channeling on any other weapon with cheats?
As of now, you cannot use the console or cheats to get the Channeling enchantment on a sword. However, there are many mods for Minecraft Forge that implement this functionality into the game.

This trident will do insane damage when enhanced with the unique Channeling enchantment.
