One of the last steps you will take is a familiar one that comes with you every time you create a new world in your base Minecraft game. Go to your server properties file and you will see a list of options for the world of your Minecraft game that you can change with impunity.

This can involve difficulty, the maximum amount of players, your game mode, and even the name of your world. This part is purely for the type of world you wish to find yourself in when you start your server, so take the time to think about what kind of environment you would like to play in.

For your last step, you will first want to run your server. Then take the time to run Minecraft itself so that you can get to the multiplayer tab so that you can have access to your add server option. Make sure that you have your IP address as mentioned before as you will need to enter it for other players to have access to your unique server. After that, you should have no problem connecting to your server and from there you can enjoy the fruits of your labor through your custom server.
