When a bow is enchanted with Infinity it can be used to shoot unlimited arrows, as long the player’s inventory contains at least 1 arrow. This enchantment only works for regular arrows, spectral arrows and tipped arrows are unaffected by this enchantment. Another downside is that you cannot use Infinity and Mending on the same bow.

The Infinity enchantment can be applied to any bow with the help of an enchantment table and by spending experience points and by using Lapiz Lazuli. You can increase the chances of receiving a higher power level of Infinity by placing bookshelves around the enchantment table. Other ways include fishing, trading with villagers, looting chests, and using an anvil to apply an enchanted book with Infinity on it.

Infinity is a must-have enchantment if you like to use the bow a lot. Since making arrows can be time-consuming and resource-heavy, with infinity all you need is a single arrow and you can shoot till your bow breaks. The downsides aren't something that would break the deal as but you’ll need to balance it properly.

A. If you are looking for it by looting chests, then the best place to search would be in libraries that are in strongholds.
