Jagged peaks are a biome that can be found in the Overworld. They were added to Minecraft in the Caves & Cliffs Update: Part II. They are a mountainous biome that is covered with snow, with mountains themselves primarily made out of stone blocks.
In Minecraft, the Jagged Peaks (also known as the Lofty Peaks biome) are a biome in the Overworld known for its towering snow-covered mountains made out of stone. You can also find lots of goats wandering around the flat areas and climbing up the peaks of these frozen mountains. The weather in the Jagged Peaks biome has average precipitation which causes mild snowfall. Players will come across little to no vegetation in this biome.
The only passive/neutral mob that spawns in the jagged peaks biome are goats. The hostile mob spawns remain the same as any other biome with creepers, skeletons, zombies, endermen, spiders, and witches spawning throughout the biome.
The Jagged peaks biome is an extremely cold biome that has rough and mountainous terrain making exploration here quite difficult. The only neutral mobs that you will find here are goats. Hostile mob spawns are unchanged as they are unaffected by the climate.
