Luck of The Sea

Luck of the sea is an enchantment that is exclusive to the fishing rod item. This enchantment increases the player's luck while fishing, and you are more likely to catch valuable items such as saddles, name tags, enchanted books, enchanted bows, and enchanted fishing rods.

How does Luck of the Sea work?

Whenever you fish with a fishing rod that is enchanted with Luck of the sea, you will be able to get rare items more easily. These rare items often referred to as ‘treasure’ catches, will have an increased chance of appearing by about 4% when the fishing rod is enchanted with Luck of The Sea.

How to obtain the Luck of The Sea?

You can use several different mays to get Luck of The Sea. Firstly, you can use an anvil to combine a fishing rod with a Luck of The Sea enchanted book but for this, you will have to get your hands on a book with the luck of the sea enchantment. You can find enchanted books in stronghold or dungeon chests or by trading with villagers.

Secondly, you can fish for it. That's right, you can get a fishing rod that already has the enchantment on it. Finally, the last and probably quickest way to get this enchantment is by using an enchantment table and some lapiz lazuli.

Conclusion

Luck of the Sea is a nice enchantment to have since it makes your fishing more efficient and rewarding. Getting it might be a bit of a challenge but it isn't that hard to obtain. Its highest level is III (3) and it is exclusive to the fishing rod.
