Lush Caves in Minecraft

Lush caves are a temperate cave biome that can be found in the Overworld. It has a lot of unique flora and fauna and can be found most commonly below azalea trees. You can find mobs such as the axolotl in this biome.

Description

Lush caves can generate underground at any height, but do favor generating below biomes which have very high humidity values. They can be commonly found beneath dark forests, jungles, old-growth taigas, etc. Azalea trees generate on any empty space above a lush cave, which makes finding a lush cave easier. The lush cave is covered in moss and ore blocks on both the floor and the ceilings. You will also find vines hanging from the ceiling along with spore blossoms. Sometimes, a shallow lake can also generate inside lush caves.

Mob Spawns

Players will encounter passive mobs such as tropical fishes, glow squids, axolotls, and bats. Since hostile mobs can also spawn here, it is not a very safe biome, as you can come across spiders, zombies, zombie villagers, skeletons, slimes, creepers, endermen, witches, and jockeys.

Conclusion

The lush caves have lots of lush scenery such as moss, new plant life, and water covering the biome. Lakes in this biome allow boats to be used, which makes exploring it much easier. The biome is found below azalea trees, and this makes finding the biome not as difficult. It is also the home of the axolotl.
