Mesa is an incredibly rare biome that is made up of red sand, cacti, dead bushes, and plateaus. The whole surface of this biome is covered in red sand, under which you can find hardened clay along with stained clay.
In Minecraft, the Mesa is a biome in the Overworld. It is very rare to find and is made up of red sand, and various colors of terracotta. It also has many rivers flowing through the valleys of red sand. Gold ore is found more commonly in the Mesa biome than in any other biome. So if you are looking for gold, this is a great biome to explore.
The weather in the Mesa biome is very dry with little precipitation. It is very similar to a desert biome, but it is made up of beautiful red, orange, and yellow colors.
The mesa biome has very little wildlife with squids being the only passive mob you can find. Other mobs are mostly hostile mobs which are: zombies, skeletons, endermen, witches, spiders, and creepers.
Mesa is a unique biome with a very distinct color palette. It is one the rarest biome in the game making it nearly impossible to just randomly stumble across. Passive mobs are hard to come by whereas hostile mobs are quite common.
