A Minecart with TNT is a minecart with a TNT block placed inside it. Upon activation, the Minecart with TNT will explode, but it won't destroy the rails and blocks below it. Players can activate the TNT by either shooting the Minecart with TNT with a flaming arrow or making it run over an activator rail.
Players can craft a Minecart with TNT quite easily, as all you need is a minecart and a TNT block. Combining the two is fairly simple, you will have to place the minecart and the TNT block anywhere in the crafting grid, since no special formation is required and then you have yourself a Minecart with TNT.
Minecarts with TNT are used for mining large parts of terrain and mountains since they don't destroy the block and rails below them. After activation, they take 4 seconds to go off leaving players with enough time to get to safety or push the minecart away. Players should be careful when handling minecarts as they can detonate instantly if they hit the ground from a height (more than 3 blocks high), are hit with a flaming arrow, or are pressed into a block or entity which has velocity.
