Nether Brick Stairs are a non-flammable variant of stairs made from nether brick blocks. They allow mobs and players to change elevation without jumping. They are generated as a natural part of Nether fortresses.

Nether Brick Stairs are naturally generated in the nether fortress, but you can also craft them yourself. Naturally generated Nether Brick Stairs can be picked up by simply breaking them with a pickaxe of stone or higher quality. To craft them you can either cut the nether brick into stairs or arrange 6 nether bricks blocks in the pattern shown below.
