The Punch enchantment can be exclusively applied to the bow. It increases the knockback of arrows, similar to the Knockback enchantment for melee weapons. However, this will not increase the bow’s damage.

When a mob is shot by a bow enchanted with Punch they will receive extra knockback as compared to the default distance. This is very helpful to keep your enemies away from you so you can easily defeat them by just shooting arrows. The distance of knockback increases per level of the enchantment. The maximum level of Punch is set to Level II (2). With every level, the knockback distance is increased by 3 blocks.
You can use several different ways to get Punch. Firstly, the quickest way to get this enchantment is by using an enchantment table and some lapis lazuli. You will also need the required or higher experience level for enchanting.

Secondly, you can use an anvil to combine a bow with an enchanted book with Punch on it but for this, you will have to get your hands on a book with the Punch enchantment. You can find enchanted books in strongholds or dungeon chests or by trading with librarians in villages.
