The Shattered Savanna Plateau is a variant of the savanna and the savanna plateaus. It used to be a unique biome but after Minecraft 1.18, it's a part of the windswept savanna biome. It is characterized by tall cliff-like hangings with flat peaks and is made up of coarse dirt stone, grass and acacia trees.
The vegetation found in the Shattered Savanna Plateau biome consists of dandelions and poppies. Unusual floating structures are sighted in this biome. This version of the savanna is a stark contrast to the standard peaceful version with its tall grass and flat surface.
This biome does not spawn any passive mobs. This lack of wildlife is due to their chaotic structure and deathly falls. The usual hostile mobs like creepers, endermen, skeletons, spiders, witches and zombies are seen. You will need to go to the nearby biomes to find chickens, cows, pigs and sheep.
Overall, this biome is not the best for setting up a base. The uneven terrain can cause some serious fall damage and the lack of wildlife can make survival a lot harder than it has to be. Passive mobs can be found nearby, that wandered over from neighboring biomes.
