Stony shores are found along the ocean but unlike other beaches, these are stony and steep. Stony shores form in areas where mountainous terrain meets the sea.
Stony shores are fairly easy to find and are found along the ocean. They’re made up of stone blocks and are rocky to navigate through. Their uneven rocky terrain can cause steep falls and incredibly dangerous cliffs. Despite being called stony shores, they're not entirely made up of stones. They can have strips or blobs of dirt, dionite, anthracite and lots of gravel scattered throughout. You can also find the occasional, out-of-place patch of grass on the rocky surface. They can be resourceful for people on the lookout for coal, iron or copper ores.
This stony biome is characterized by a complete lack of animal life. The usual hostile mobs like skeletons, creepers, zombies, and spiders are spawned here.
