Kiruru is a fictional character in the novel Itachi Shinden: Book of Bright Light, based on the popular manga and its anime adaptation, the Naruto series, written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto.

Since Kiruru’s past is still a mystery, not much is known about his early years. Very little is known about his lineage or past due to his limited appearances in the series, beyond the fact that he was a genin of the Hidden Mist Village.
Kiruru first appeared in Itachi Shinden: Book of Bright Light. The novel revealed that Kiruru and his team simultaneously participated in the Chunin Exams as Itachi Uchiha. Kiruru and his team successfully cleared stage one of the exam and qualified for the second stage. In the second exam phase, which was held in the Forest of Death, Kiruru and his team spotted Itachi traveling alone in the forest.
They attacked Itachi as they believed that taking Itachi's scroll would be a piece of cake. However, they were fooled by Itachi’s Crow Clone Technique. They engaged in a battle, and Kiruru used his water release jutsu to attack Itachi, but Itachi quickly overpowered his technique with his fire release technique. After being utterly defeated, Kiruru and his team handed over their scroll to Itachi in exchange for sparing their lives. Itachi accepted their offer but knocked them unconscious just in case they tried to follow him.
Kiruru has not appeared since. Therefore, it makes it close to impossible to determine his current status. For the time being, based on his prior status, he is presumed dead until any additional information comes to light suggesting otherwise.
Due to his lack of appearance in the series and any related information, almost nothing is known about Kiruru’s personality.
Kiruru is a novel-only character and does not make any visual appearances in the Naruto manga or anime.
