Kushina Uzumaki

Kushina was born to the famous Uzumaki clan and as she was caught up because she was born in the war period, she always sought peace. She was sent to Konoha and attended the Academy.

She wanted to make a strong first impression on her classmates and said that she wanted to be the first female Hokage. The other kids made fun of her dream and called her 'tomato head' due to her fiery red hair. This made her angry and she used to lash out at people who. made her angry.

Kushina was eventually told why she was sent to Konoha. It was due to her chakra and also the fact that she was next in line to become the Nine-Tails jinchuriki. Before leaving, Mito told Kushina that love was the only way to keep the Nine-Tails tame and overcome its hate.

When Kushina was 12 she was kidnapped by Kumogakure ninjas who wanted to use her for her chakra and gain the power of the Nine-Tails. As they were on their way with her, Kushina secretly plucked and left her hair behind so that someone would find her. Minato, who believed that Kushina was a wimp, was the only one who picked up on her signal.

After he was successful in rescuing her, he told her that he always admired her red hair. When Kushina realized that Minato loved her for the things that she hated about herself, she also fell in love with him and this helped her overcome the Nine-Tails.

Growing up Kushina came to be known for her beauty and unique ninjutsu style which also included ninjutsu of the Uzumaki clan. She married Minato and was there when Minato became the fourth Hokage and she was very excited for him. During her pregnancy, Kakashi was stationed to guard her under Minato's orders.

They decided to name their child Naruto, after the main character in Jiraiya's book. When Jiraiya asked if they were sure, Kushina said that she thought that it was a beautiful name and they asked Jiraiya to be Naruto’s godfather. Kushina also hoped that her baby would be friends with Mikito Uchiha’s youngest son, Sasuke Uchiha in the future.

As the seal of the Nine-Tails would weaken while she gave birth, special arrangements were made for Naruto’s birth. The birth would take place in secret and in a remote location. Minato would maintain the seal and the Anbu members will guard the area. moments after the birth Minato started to make preparations to restore the Nine-Tails’ weakened seal but he was interrupted as he was attacked by a masked man, Tobi. However, Tobi managed to kill all the Anbu and the midwives, and took Naruto hostage, threatening to kill him if he tried to redo the seal of the Nine-Tails on Kushina again.

Minato managed to take Naruto from Tobi only to discover that he had explosive tags on him. Due to this, Minato was forced to teleport away leaving Tobi to take away Kushina. Due to her vitality, she survived the extraction but she was greatly weakened.

Once he found a safe place for Naruto, he went back for Kushina to save her from being killed by Tobi by allowing him to extract the Nine-Tails from her. He then reunited the mother and son and then headed out to protect the village.

With the remaining of her chakra, she tried to restrain the Nine-Tails. Despite knowing that it would kill her, Kushina still volunteered to have the Nine-Tails sealed inside her again so that it would die with her. She was willing to sacrifice herself for Minato and Naruto’s sake.

Because the Nine-Tails chakra was so immense to be sealed inside an infant, Minato used the Dead Demon Consuming Seal to cut the chakra in half and sealed one half within himself. When the Nine-Tails realized what they were planning to do, he tried to kill Naruto but Minato and Kushina used themselves as shields.

With his last ounce of strength, Minato summoned Gerotora and gave him the key to the seal he would use on Naruto to seal the Nine-Tails and sent him to Jiraiya, while Kushina told baby Naruto how much his parents loved him, to which Minato agreed.

He sealed half of Nine-Tails chakra into himself and the other half into Naruto. He even weaved Kushina’s chakra into it so that she could teach him how to control it someday. He also mixed his chakra so that it activated anytime the seal was about to break, ensuring he could restore it. Seeing the Third Hokage, Kushina told him the child's name and told him to protect him, and then died.

Kushina Uzumaki was quite headstrong, impulsive, eccentric, and very stubborn. She was also quite talkative and had a tomboy personality. A lot of Naruto’s personality is taken from his mother and whenever she was flustered or excited, she would end her sentences with 'database'.

This trait was later on passed to Naruto who says 'dattebayo' and Boruto who says 'Dattebasa'. This is the way she hides her insecurities like her red hair, her being a foreigner, and being the Nine-Tails jinchuriki.

As she grew up Kushina had become very level-headed, cheerful, and also was sassy at times. Despite her calm and kind nature, she still had her temper from her childhood and occasionally lashed out at people if they angered her or put her off.

She was also fearless. Kushina worried a lot about Minato and unborn Naruto and showed maternal instincts. She also tends to have selective hearing.

Kushina also loved her family deeply and did not even hesitate to sacrifice her to stop the Nine-Tails and took the blow for Naruto. She was very worried about the life Naruto would have as a jinchuuriki orphan and showered him with a lot of love in her last moments. She also cared a lot about Minato’s student, Rin, Obito a lot and she said that Obito was her favorite.

Kushina Uzumaki was known for her beauty. She had fair skin and was slender, built with violet eyes with red hair( common in the Uzumaki clan). She had straight hair and used to clip her bangs to her left side. She wore a high collared, sleeveless blouse under a loose-fitting dress with a wristband on her left wrist with sandals.

Whenever she was on duty she wore a blue forehead protector with her hair tied up in a high ponytail. Her attire was the standard Konoha uniform with the green flak jacket over a black short-sleeved shirt and black form-fitting pants.

As a child, she had a round face and her hair framed her face. She wore a sleeveless kimono-style blouse that was yellow with a green obi over a short-sleeved mesh shirt with dark blue shorts and sandals. As a teen, she wore a short-sleeved tan kimono which had a dark embroidery border with a black obi, a dark short skirt, and stockings up to her thighs with the forehead protector and sandals.

As a part of the Uzumaki clan Kushina had a strong life force which gave her huge chakra reserves and vitality. She also had huge stamina and healing powers. She also used a special type of chakra that made a suitable jinchuriki for the Nine-Tails. This trait helped her survive the Nine-Tails extraction just after she had given birth and was still able to aid Minato in battle even though she was very exhausted.

Kushina was a very talented shinobi and quite knowledgeable in fuinjutsu which she taught to Minato also. She also knew the sealing technique to seal a tailed beast in someone. With her chakra she could materialize Adamantine Sealing Chains which could restrain and subdue the Nine-Tails. She can even form a barrier with these chains. She was able to use Wind, Water and Yin Release.
