Very little is known about Murasame as his past is still shrouded in mystery. Based on the information at hand, at some point in time, Murasame made the decision to abandon his village in order to accompany Suien on a quest to find the legendary Hero Water in Takigakure, also known as the Village Hidden in the Waterfall.
During the mission, Hisame received assistance from Murasame in her attempt to defeat Sasuke Uchiha, while Naruto Uzumaki pursued Shibuki, the current village leader. However, the tides turned when Shibuki consumed the powerful Hero Water, granting him enhanced abilities. With newfound strength, Shibuki unleashed a formidable Water Dragon technique, effectively countering Murasame and his accomplices' attacks.
Despite the setback, Murasame's fate took an unexpected turn. It was later revealed in the novel that he survived the encounter. Eventually, Murasame found himself captured by Kakashi Hatake, the renowned shinobi and the Sixth Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village.
Murasme made a fleeting appearance, not enough to measure up his personality. However, based on his actions, it can be said he would go to any lengths to accomplish his agenda, even abandoning his village.
Murasame possesses a robust and formidable appearance as a shinobi. He is muscular and exudes a tough demeanor. His attire consists of a sleeveless black shirt, gray pants, ninja sandals, and brown arm warmers. With chin-length gray hair spiked at the top, he stands out with his distinctive hairstyle. Additionally, he bears a teal marking that extends over his nose.
Murasame's exceptional skills surpassed those of Hisame and Kirisame, evident by his position as the team's leader in Suien's absence.
In terms of ninjutsu, Murasame possessed the ability to utilize Water Release: Water Whip, enabling him to fashion a whip-shaped construct out of water. This technique proved effective in binding and restraining his adversaries. Furthermore, Murasame displayed proficiency in genjutsu, employing it to create illusions of himself, causing confusion and disorientation among his enemies.
Murasame's expertise extended to taijutsu, where he excelled in high-speed combat techniques. This approach significantly reduced his opponents' reaction time, giving him an advantage in battle.
Additionally, Murasame carried a specially crafted wire, designed to bind individuals. Should someone attempt to escape using the Rope Escape Technique, the wire had the capability to cut through their body, inflicting severe damage.
Apart from the OVA, Murasame also appears in the light novel with the same title as the OVA, “Mission: Protect the Waterfall Village!”
