Cursed Warrior’s Background

The Cursed Warrior was believed to be the ghost of the former daimyo of the Land of Birds, Owashi. The warrior haunted the land and attacked its inhabitants. It was later revealed that the warrior was actually being controlled by Hoki, a Watari ninja disguised as Moso.

Chishima, a messenger from the Land of Birds, sought help from Konohagakure's ninja. Naruto, Neji, and Tenten were sent to assist. At first, they suspected Komei, the Land of Birds' tactician, to be behind the Cursed Warrior. The Cursed Warrior disappeared in a battle, leaving an empty armor behind, making the team question its true nature.

During a second encounter, Team Neji discovered Komei near the Cursed Warrior. Naruto defeated the Cursed Warrior, but it was revealed that someone else had been wearing the armor, and Komei was taken into custody.

Later on, Naruto reencountered the Cursed Warrior and discovered it was Sagi, who turned out to be Toki in disguise, the twin sister of the real Sagi. Neji and Tenten followed the Cursed Warrior to Sagi's palace, where they realized that Naruto was the one wearing the armor.

In the final confrontation, using fake jutsus, Moso traps the Cursed Warrior and reveals Toki's true identity. Naruto, Tenten, Neji, and Kakashi arrive to fight the Watari ninja, and the Cursed Warrior's helmet is knocked off, exposing Toki's true identity to Naruto and Moso.
