Hanare was known to have been very lonely as a little child because she had never known her family or had even seen her home village. She began receiving espionage training at a young age. The young Kakashi discovered her crying in a location close to her village one day, picked her up on his back, and brought her home.
He continued by telling her that she could look up at the clouds above and find her way. When a ninja from Hanare's village came to meet them, Kakashi helped Hanare get to her feet, bid him farewell, and walked away. The fact that Kakashi could assist her in her life made her happy at that point.
Later, after Orochimaru's assault on Konoha, Hanare came to Konoha as a performer to gain Intel about the village but Black Anbu captured her and interrogated her. The Third Hokage requested to follow a more non-violent way because she wouldn't reveal anything.
One memory of encountering a young Kakashi, when she was a lost child searching for her village, was the only memory of her village that Inoichi Yamanaka discovered after reading her brain. Hanare treasured the memory of Kakashi who taught her to gaze up at the skies for advice whenever she felt down and alone.
Inoichi asked Kakashi to interrogate her with her Sharingan. After that, Kakashi was invited by Inoichi to spend the day with her and utilize his Sharingan to dig deeper into her mind. Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto followed the couple, assuming they were somehow connected.
They fell from the tree and embarrassed themselves, which accidentally forced Kakashi to kiss Hanare but at that moment, subconsciously, Kakashi’s Sharingan figured out her jutsu. It allowed Kakashi to learn that during the interrogation, Hanare was able to learn about Konoha from Inoichi thanks to her technique. Later on, the Third Hokage got a message from Hidden Lock Village that they had captured Riichi, one of the Jonin of Hidden Leaf village, and that they were willing to exchange him with Hanare.
The exchange continued as planned, but a trap had been prepared to prevent Hanare from taking the news back to Hidden Lock Village, so she had to use the uproar to get away. On a cliff, Kakashi caught up with her and was prepared to fight.
Hanare said that because she had been accepted and had discovered the home she had always desired in Konoha, she had deleted the memories she had acquired there. She went on to scream that she should die at his hands, but Kakashi interrupted and told her to leave since he couldn't murder a shinobi who had lost her pride. Later, Kakashi told his team and others that she had taken her own life by jumping off the cliff.
When Hanare was young, she was a lonely child who didn't know the meaning of family and friends. But after she met Kakashi, she could find what she wanted but was still used by her village. However, when she visited Konoha and spent a day with Kakashi, she understood what she had wanted for a long time.
She is mature and knows what is right and wrong for her especially after Hanare meets Kakashi again, and that’s why she goes away from her village.
During her childhood time, she used to wear orange T-shirts and grey pants. Hanare had brown eyes and medium olive hair with two bangs around her on both sides of her face. She wore a red, sleeveless shirt with fur across the top of her chest and below her shoulders while performing as a street performer.
She also has a pink belt around her waist, a blue, orange, and yellow striped skirt underneath, a green and blue skirt, and black sandals. Hanare also wore an orange hat with red horizontal stripes, and her hair fell to her waist with one bang that hid her left eye. She had a beauty spot beneath her right eye, red makeup, and red lipstick on her face. She also had purple jewelry on her neck and three purple pearl earrings. Her hands and the arms that reached just below her were bandaged in yellow.
She also wore brown shin guards and black fingerless gloves extended to the top of her forearms with a brown flak jacket and a red mesh top underneath. Hanare also wore black leggings with bandages around her right thigh and calf, and black shinobi boots. She framed her face with two bangs while wearing the forehead protector from the Hidden Lock village and tying her hair loosely in a ponytail with a crimson ribbon.
Hanare can use her right eye to peer into her mind and, accordingly, into the minds of anyone who enters her head, thanks to her special skills. She can discard the information she has obtained up to this point and weaves signs with this method by moving her eye in predetermined patterns.
Hanare's unique method can help her in acquiring data. She has developed an incredibly strong will as a result of her training, resistant to seemingly any sort of torture, even by someone like the master mind-controller Ibiki Morino.
A. Hanare claimed that because she had been accepted and had discovered the home she had always desired in Konoha and that she had deleted the memories she had acquired there. She went on to scream that she should die at his hands, but Kakashi cut her off and urged her to leave since he couldn't murder a ninja who had lost her pride.
A. No, Hanare is not Kakashi’s wife as he has been single and even now, in Boruto, he is still shown as single.
