Haori was a resident of the Land of Ancestors during the time of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki's reign. She sought the assistance of Hagoromo and Hamura Ōtsutsuki in resolving a dispute among local farmers over a scarcity of water. Hagoromo, who possessed great power and could manipulate chakra, offered to solve the problem, but Haori warned him to be careful.

Later, while on her way to the God Tree, Haori encountered Hagoromo once again. He attempted to persuade her to stay, but she refused, citing her duty to serve the God Tree. Haori gave him her necklace as a parting gift before continuing on her way.

As time passed, Hamura, using his Byakugan, discovered Haori and other residents of the Land of Ancestors wrapped in the roots of the God Tree. They had been sacrificed through a sacred ritual to the tree itself. This tragedy enraged Hagoromo, who had developed strong feelings for Haori, causing him to awaken his Sharingan. Her death also inspired him to learn senjutsu, a powerful technique, to oppose the cruel laws enforced by his mother, Kaguya.
Due to her lack of appearance in the series and any related information, almost nothing is known about Haori’s personality.
Haori had striking features - long, flowing black hair, and large, deep black eyes. Her attire consisted of a blue dress with a white overlay. Additionally, she adorned herself with a necklace that held significant meaning to her.
Haori did not possess any special abilities.
"Haori" (羽織) is the name of a traditional Japanese sort of hip or thigh-length kimono-like jacket.
