Hatake Clan

The Hatake Clan is a clan that resides in the Hidden Leaf Village. Although it isn’t as famous as the other clans, Kakashi Hatake put it on the map which makes it a familiar name to many.

There are only two known members of the Hatake Clan, namely Kakashi Hatake and Sakumo Hatake. Sakumo Hatake took his own life because he was under stress from the villagers due to not completing his mission and instead saving his teammates. Sakumo took his own life while Kakashi was still young.

Both of the known members of the Clan were famous throughout the village. Sakumo was known as the White Fang of the Leaf and was admired by many while Kakashi would grow up to be the Sixth Hokage.

History of the Hatake Clan

Not much is known about the history of the Hatake Clan. However, it had a Shinobi called Sakumo Hatake who was incredibly powerful and respected by many. His son, Kakashi Hatake respected him a lot as well and even wanted to be as powerful as him one day.

Sakumo Hatake, at some point in his life, killed Sasori’s parents. This made Granny Chiyo hate him. While Kakashi was still a child, Sakumo was sent on a mission which was of great importance to the Leaf. However, his teammates’ lives were in danger during this mission and so he decided to abandon it in order to save them.

This caused the Land of Fire, villagers of Konoha, and even the people who he rescued to question him. He was deeply depressed, which affected his overall ability to function and he eventually took his own life.

Kakashi Hatake, on the other hand, grew up knowing why his father died and thus he always prioritized the mission over everything. However, this would change over time thanks to Obito Uchiha. He would become an incredibly strong Shinobi and would even be known as the Copy Ninja thanks to the sheer amount of Jutsu he knows.

Not only that, Kakashi trained many strong Ninjas and served greatly during the Fourth Great War and was eventually appointed the Sixth Hokage. He served for many years before handing the position over to Naruto Uzumaki.
